"JOHN HARTLEY"  is a multi-talented, natural born singer with good looks and has a graceful personality. John Hartley is truly dedicated to his craft. John Hartley, the passionate artist, sings with his heart and soul. It is on the stage where John truly shines. When John Hartley sings, people listen. There is also the comedian side of John along with his good buddy Des Sands. John is a kind and generous man with many friends who just think the world of him. John Hartley was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania on January 01, New Years Day. John is now residing in Barto, Pennsylvania with his lovely wife Marge. John and Marge have been happily married since 1966. John and Marge have four children and ten grandchildren whom he loves very much. They are a very close and loving family. John is a veteran of The United States Marine Corp.
John had an uncle who played guitar and taught John how to play at the age of 16. From playing guitar his natural singing ability came out and he has become a great singer. John is a local singer and entertainer throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. John considers himself a lover of country music, although he does branch out into Doo Wop and your oldies but goodies. There isn't anything that John can't sing. He is just amazing! He has been in the recording studio recording old music and new songs written by Frank Crispo.

John has played at the Lake View Inn in New Jersey as part of the opening band for Tammy Wynette and Hank Snow for four nights. The band's name was "Country Gold Band" run by Bob Steam Bolt Fulton the manager of Country Gold Band and disc jockey at WXTU radio. John also was the opening band at Big John's Ontelaunee Park opening the show for Freddy Fender, David Frizzel, Shelly West, Mo Bandy and Ronnie Prophet.
John has played at the Country Western Inn, Land Mark Inn, Hide Away, Buck Hotel and many other local establishments. Some of the local bands he had or played with through the years were The Gamblers, The Applejacks, Sands of Time, Shades of Country, Fugitives, White Oak, Nashville East, Midnight Special and many other bands.

In 1989 the band that John Hartley played with called "Southern Breeze" was invited to perform for the U. S. Military personnel stationed at Thule AFB in Greenland. They performed four nights of the seven days that they were in Greenland. They were interviewed by "The Morning Call" newspaper and published a very nice article about their performing for the U.S. Military troops in Greenland. Needless to say, this was a very exciting time for John Hartley. John said that this experience will remain with him forever.

The group "Southern Breeze" was well known throughout a fairly large area in Eastern Pennsylvania playing at such familar places as the Dutch Cottage in Skippack, Stahleys in Allentown, The Country Tavern in Plunsteadville and also at clubs in Kutztown and Downing.
